Dr. Gowtham H G is highly skilled and passionate Interventional Cardiologist with extensive experience in both primary and complex coronary interventions. He has independently performed over 1000 angioplasties and is well-versed in advanced procedures such as Rotational and Orbital Atherectomy, OCT-guided PCI, and structural interventions like TAVI and TEVAR. He has served as an Associate Consultant at Apollo BGS Hospital, Mysore, and contributed as faculty in major national cardiology conferences. Committed to excellence in patient care, Dr. Gowtham thrives in collaborative healthcare environments and continually seeks to advance his clinical expertise. Education & Training: Dr. Gowtham H G began his medical journey with an MBBS degree from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute, where he built a strong foundation in clinical medicine. He then pursued his postgraduate training in General Medicine (MD) at the prestigious Sawai Man Singh Medical College and Research Institute, Jaipur, from 2013 to 2016. His passion for cardiology led him to specialize further by completing a DM in Cardiology at the renowned Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research, Bangalore, from 2017 to 2020.
Throughout his academic training, he consistently demonstrated a deep commitment to clinical excellence and advanced cardiac care. Work Experience: Dr. Gowtham H G began his professional career as a Senior Resident at Shimoga Institute of Medical Science, where he gained hands-on experience in managing a wide range of cardiac cases from November 2020 to June 2021. Following this, he served as an Associate Consultant at Apollo BGS Hospital, Mysore, from July 2021 until recently. During his tenure, he independently performed over 1000 angioplasties, including primary and complex coronary interventions. He is proficient in procedures such as pacemaker and ICD implantation and has advanced expertise in techniques like Rotational and Orbital Atherectomy. In January 2025, he earned proctorship in Orbital Atherectomy. Dr. Gowtham has also assisted in structural heart procedures, including TAVI and TEVAR. His strong interest in image-guided PCI using OCT has driven his commitment to precision and better patient outcomes. He has actively contributed to academic platforms as a faculty member, presenting complex cases at national conferences such as CSI-NIC, INDIA LIVE, and CHIP-CTO.
